Formation and relevant experience
BÉLANGER, Charles graduated from Laval University in 1981 with a degree in mechanical engineering and has senior management training from the International Center for Research and Studies in Management (CIREM) in 1990. Since 2011, he has been president of Moody Management Inc., a private investment firm. Prior to that, he was founder, president and CEO of Groupe Unipex SAS in 2008 after being president of the Active Ingredients and Specialty Chemicals Division of Atrium Innovations (TSX: ATB) from 2004 to 2008. Before joining Atrium, he was president and founder of the Pôle Québec Chaudière-Appalaches after being a partner with Phenix Capital. Mr. Boulanger has over 30 years' experience in senior management positions in several industrial sectors with companies such as Shell Canada, Irving Oil, GSI Environment and Prolab Technologies.
BOURGEOIS, Jacques has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Laval University, a degree in management from McGill University, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario's Richard Ivey School of Business, and a PhD in business economics from the Aix Graduate School of Management, part of Aix-Marseille University. After a university career of over 30 years, Jacques Bourgeois now devotes his skills and energy to the development of Montreal as a major financial centre, and to coaching and consulting new emerging portfolio managers. Throughout his career, Mr. Bourgeois has dedicated time to financial research and consulting. He has developed expertise in pension plan management. He has sat on the boards of several pension funds, including those of Transcontinental Group and Alcan. He participated actively in the implementation of the HEC Montréal employee pension plan and has chaired the plan's investment committee since its founding in 1994.
GAGNON, Alexandre has been Vice-President, Finance at Pétrolia since November 2011. He is responsible for investor relations, financing, and financing and investment strategy development. While working for AFC Capital (Vice-President, Risk Management and Finance), Innocap (partner of National Bank of Canada and BNP Paribas), the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, and Standard Life Canada, he has acquired solid experience in risk management and financing strategy. Holder of a bachelor's degree in business administration, he obtained a master's degree in management science (finance option) from HEC Montréal in 2006 and is a chartered administrator and Financial Risk Manager (FRM). His enthusiasm, determination and insight are crucial in moving Pétrolia's projects forward.
MC CALLUM, David studied in administration and he is as for today, manager and owner of many companies: Les Breuvages Gaspé inc. (Pepsi-cola franchise) since 1984, Service Pause Café Mat. inc. (Van Houtte coffee franchise) since 1997 and Kwatroe Consultants since 2005.
MCLELLAN, Karl has been Pétrolia's Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary since January 2010. His main responsibilities include preparing the company's financial statements, upholding governance and audit rules, and controlling and monitoring the company's exploration costs. In May 2011, he also became Chief Financial Officer of Puma Exploration (PUM-TSX-V). He has roughly ten years' experience in finance and management, having worked as a controller and VP of finance in private firms. He obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration from Université Laval and is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He is currently in the process of completing an MBA in management accounting. His professionalism, efficiency and versatility are undeniable assets for Pétrolia.
PROULX, André is the president and founder of Pétrolia and can best be described as a born entrepreneur, with over 15 years' experience at the helm of various mining exploration companies that he launched. Some of his more notable endeavours include founding and heading up Geominex Inc., a consulting firm in the mineral exploration sector, Ressources Appalaches Inc. (APP-TSX-V), and Puma Exploration (PUM-TSX-V), and he still sits on the boards of all three companies. He obtained a master's degree in ethnology from Université Laval in 1974. The company owes its success to the drive and determination of this visionary man.
PROULX, Isabelle is Vice-President, Business Development at Pétrolia. She ensures information is distributed and that relations are maintained with government and local authorities, and with residents of the communities in which the company operates. Ms. Proulx travels to the Gaspésie region on a regular basis. She joined Pétrolia in 2005, initially handling investor relations, and is now actively involved in seeking out partners and developing the company's strategy. After obtaining her bachelor's degree in business administration in 1991, she worked as a market studies consultant until 2005. There is no question that her drive, determination and attention to detail are key to Pétrolia's ongoing success.
TÉTREAULT, Myron has been chairman of Calafate Holdings Ltd., a private investment management and venture capital company, since 1999. He is the chairman of MicroPlanet Technology Corp. (a TSX-V listed technology company). He is also a co-founder and director of Echo Merchant Fund II Limited Partnership (a private mezzanine fund), Fitzroy Developments Ltd. (a private real estate company), Northern Vision Development Corp. (a private real estate company), and Webber Academy Foundation (a non-profit corporation that operates a private school in the Calgary, Alberta). Mr. Tétreault serves as the senior director of Phoenix Technology Income Fund, a TSX-listed horizontal and directional drilling company. Mr. Tétreault was the president and chief executive officer of Octane Energy Services Ltd. (an exchange-listed oilfield services company) from 1999 to April 2003. He was the general counsel and corporate secretary of Phoenix Technology Income Fund from 1997 to 2007. Mr. Tétreault was one of the founders of Total Energy Services Ltd., where he served as general counsel and corporate secretary from November 1996 to July 2000. From August 1993 to December 1997, Mr. Tétreault was a corporate and securities lawyer with the law firm of Bennett Jones Verchere (now Bennett Jones, LLP). Mr. Tétreault obtained his bachelor of laws degree (with distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992 and his bachelor of business administration degree (cum laude) from the University of Ottawa in 1988. Mr. Tétreault is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Entrepreneurs’ Organization.
WILDGEN, Albert graduated from Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne in 1976 with a degree in law, and was called to the Barreau des Avocats in Luxembourg in 1977. In 1980 he joined the law firm of Mr. Victor Bodson, a former Luxembourg Minister and Member of the European Commission in Brussels. He was Associate Director of Wildgen & Partners, one of the largest business law firms in Luxembourg. Mr. Wildgen currently sits on the board of directors of a number of holding companies and multinational finance companies and banking groups. |
